To Oversea Participants

This is an important information for your entry in Japan.

Please look at the Web site of Japanese Embassy in your country how you enter Japan.

1) Visa application

At present, all visitors need Visa.

Please answer questions and attach a copy of your passport from here.

59JPS will apply for ERFS with your information and send you the receipt of ERFS.

ERFS (Entrans, Returnees Follow-up System)

Then, you may apply Visa with the receipt of ERFS.

2) In September, regulation has been changed.

For some countries, you can enter Japan without PCR test if you have had three doses of COVID-19 vaccine. If not, I think you need a negative certificate by PCR test within 72 hours.

Please look at the Japanese Embassy Web site carefully. The situation is dependent on the country.

3) Fast Track: Pre-register via MySOS for airport quarantine procedures

This is highly recommended. Please install MySOS in your smart phone.

Registration

  • For participants who have completed advance registration, please wear a name badge and join the symposium without stopping by the registration desk.
  • Those who have not completed advance registration are required to register on-site at the registration desk. Cash and credit card payments are acceptable.

    JPS, co-organizer’s member general 9,000JPY student 5,000JPY
    Non-member general 16,000JPY student 7,000JPY
    • Please pay the on-site registration fee by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, AMEX) or cash (Japanese yen).
    • If you are a member of a co-organizer’s society and wish to apply for the member registration fee, please provide your society’s membership number at the registration desk.
  • Please to be sure to wear your name badge throughout the meeting. Entry without the badge is NOT acceptable.
  • A paper receipt (Japanese style) for the on-site registration fee will be issued at the registration desk.

    • To prevent COVID-19 infection, please wear a mask and leave space between seats.

Photography & recording

Photography and recording with camera, video, mobile phone, and any devices are NOT allowed at the meeting site (both oral and poster presentations). Please note that some recording may be performed after obtaining the board meeting’s approval.

Luncheon seminar

Lunch tickets will be distributed at the registration desk from 8:45 am, Oct 26–28. Only tickets for the seminars on the day are provided on a first-come-first served basis.
